Flagstone, Pavers & Brick
Patios & Walkways That Drain Right and Stay Level
Flagstone patios, paver patios, brick walkways, pool surrounds, and steps — set on a base that keeps them flat through every wet East Texas winter.
What We Build
The Ground You Actually Live On
A patio is where the chairs go, where the cooler sits, where the dog naps in the sun. We build them in flagstone, pavers, or brick — your pick — and we build the part underneath just as carefully as the part you see, because a patio is only as flat as its base.
Walkways get the same treatment: pitched so rain runs off instead of pooling, edged so they hold their line, and wide enough that two people don't have to walk single file. Around a pool, we set stone that stays cooler underfoot and won't turn slick.
- Flagstone patios in natural, irregular layouts
- Paver patios in clean, uniform patterns
- Brick walkways and garden paths
- Pool surrounds and coping
- Masonry steps and stoops
How We Do It
How a Patio Stays Flat for Decades
Layout & Pitch
We mark the shape, set the elevations, and plan the pitch so rain runs away from the house.
Base Prep
Excavate, then compact gravel in lifts or pour a slab — the step that decides if the patio stays level.
Set the Stone
Flagstone, pavers, or brick laid tight and level, cuts tucked along the edges where they belong.
Joints & Cleanup
Joints filled and struck, surface washed down, and the yard put back the way we found it.
Straight Answers
Patio & Walkway Questions
Should I choose flagstone or pavers?
Flagstone gives you a natural, irregular look — no two patios come out alike. Pavers are uniform, a little friendlier to furniture legs, and usually cost less. Both hold up fine in East Texas as long as the base under them is done right. We'll show you both and price both.
Does a patio need a base?
Yes. Every patio we build sits on a compacted gravel base or a concrete slab. Skip that step and our clay soil will heave the surface out of level within a couple of seasons. The base is the part you never see and the reason the patio stays flat.
Can you extend an existing patio and match it?
Usually, yes. We can match or closely blend most flagstone, pavers, and brick, and we set the new section so the seam doesn't jump out at you. Send us a photo and we'll tell you what's possible.
How long does a patio take to build?
Most patios take under a week on site — a few days for a straightforward paver patio, a little longer for big flagstone jobs with steps or borders. You'll get a timeline with your written estimate.
